Little Girls: So very thankful for two little girls. It’s really setting in that there will be another little girl joining us this year. I am so incredibly thankful for our second little rainbow baby. I am beyond over the moon excited to see Evie take on the roll of big sister.
Ultrasound Images: Thankful for getting the opportunity to check on the health of my little one, and so have a peak at her. Ultrasounds are like a little window to the inside. We’ve already been comparing what this little girl looks like, compared to the Ultrasound images of Evie. So far it looks like they have the same nose, and long skinny legs.
Family Time: When we get the chance to do things as a family I am so thankful. It’s been hard lately with Jason working evenings or graveyards and my working during the day. Often our schedules do not match up. There is the odd day though where we do get to go out and do something fun. Most recently we went and tried mini golf with Evie for the first time. She totally cheated, but had fun!
Messy Toddler: I am thankful for laundry and bath time. It’s a sign of a fun filled day. The other day our grass had just been cut, and Evie ended up sitting in a puddle that was full of cut grass.
Friends: I am so thankful for friends who take a second out of their day to cheer you up. I was having a very rough day, and was really struggling when I heard a knock on my door. I had no idea who was there. To my surprise, a friend popped over to drop off flowers to put a smile on my face. Pregnancy hormones brought tears first. Friends like that are so precious.
A Yard Space: When we bought our home there were several things that sold us on it, and a bit selling point was the fact that we had a decent sized yard area for a child to run around. We weren’t expecting yet but we had images of a kiddo running around and playing going through our minds. Flash forward 3 years and Evie is now doing just that. She also loves helping to take care of the plants, and I am thankful for that because I am not a fan of all the bugs that fly up when we water!
