Discovering Parenthood

 

This blog was created originally as a way of documenting our days in a journal style. Since then, things have changed, this blog has grown, and so has our family. We are now a family of six, and we have expanded our space to be more than just a diary. Here you’ll find a community focused on parenting, motherhood and fatherhood, family travel, and all the chaotic, beautiful things we love. We’re still sharing life as we know it—just with a little bit more perspective.

– TAMARA + FAMILY- 

Tamara loves writing, capturing memories through photography, and photo editing. Jason is the ultimate #InstagramHusband and is often the one behind the lens. We met over 19 years ago on an online dating site after being nudged by our friends. It turns out our paths had been crossing for years, and it was finally time for them to collide. We’ve been inseparable since our first date and got married three years later.

Blogging quickly became an essential outlet for Tamara’s emotions. A place to process the heartbreak of miscarriages, navigate the challenges of IUI, and celebrate the triumphs and failures of being a new mom.

Today, our family has grown in ways we never could have predicted. We are blessed with three sweet, incredible girls: our oldest, who is a feisty redhead; our middle kiddo, who is laid-back and adventurous; and our youngest daughter, who is absolutely full of personality and joy. We also welcomed the surprise of our lives a few years ago. Our son, who has completed our crew of six with his constant smiles and endless energy.

Through this blog, we are documenting what it’s really like to navigate a big family. We share the highs and the lows. From managing the unexpected curveball of a cancer diagnosis to the everyday balancing act of work and school field trips, all the way to our absolute favorite family tradition: traveling to Disneyland.
