SU CASA SPA
The other evening I had the pleasure of getting to attend a media night at Su Casa Spa in Fort Langley for their dry run. It was perfect timing with my 29th birthday being this week and I just needed a night out with friends. I was so excited to get to check out a spa that is close to home and I was not disappointed!
Walking into the Su Casa Spa you are instantly relaxed by the decor and music that is playing. The owner, Sandra, has done a spectacular job with all of the interior design. From the reclaimed barn wood that is used on a feature wall behind the pedicure stations to the photography that was done by a local photographer of places around Fort Langley. Not a detail was missed. I wish I had some of the pieces in my own home. I fell in love with the large, vintage display piece.
All of us that attended were treated to one service. I decided to go for a pedicure since I had just destroyed my feet and nail polish with the 5k race I had done on the weekend. It is recommend that you either bring or wear flip flops when you go for a pedicure appointment, silly me and my mommy brain I totally forgot to do this. I was saved by disposable flip flops that were available.
There are a couple different pedicure options available from a classic pedicure to deluxe pedicure, all are at different price points. I was treated to the Su Casa Pedicure Put Your Feet Up which is $69. Included in this treatment was foot soak, exfoliation, callus work , grooming of nails & cuticles, hot towels , foot/leg relaxing massage, and polish application.
The option was given to have classic polish of shellac colour for the colour application. I went with classic polish because this tends to last for a long time on my toenails that shellac is not needed. If this is a problem for you then consider getting shellac. A whole selection of colours were provided to me to look through so that I could make my choice. I went with “Scattered and Tattered” which was a glitter polish. It was recommended to me to put a darker colour underneath to help the glitter really show up. I am so glad this was suggested because it looked even better once the pedicure was completed.
I was so impressed with how thorough the staff were. My health history was checked before the process was started, this was actually a first for me to have a nail tech inquire to if I had any allergies. Everything is very well organized on carts containing the products needed. The foot soak tubs are beautiful and reminded me of the ocean with them being a textured green glass. Plus it was so nice to sit back and relax while selecting what settings I wanted on the massage chair.
