And there were in the same country shepherds, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them! And they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, “Fear not! For, behold, I bring you tidings o great joy, which shall be to all my people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ, the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” And suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the Heavenly Host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the Highest, and on Earth peace, and good will toward men. – Luke 2:8-14
We wanted to take a minute to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for following along on our blog it means so much to us to have such a wonderful community. So many of you have been reading Discovering Parenthood from the very start and some have just joined us recently.
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas spent with the ones you love. Tomorrow morning we are off to church. We’re looking forward to remembering the reason for the season on Christmas day at church. We’re hoping there will be lots of carols sung.
Below is a little glimpse at what we got up to on Christmas Eve during the day. My sister and her hubby couldn’t join us all on Christmas Day so we did brunch on Christmas Eve instead. Ugly Christmas Sweaters were worn by some. An incredible meal was enjoyed that had everything from bacon and cinnamon buns to two types of hash browns.
As a family we draw names between all the adults to get one bigger gift for that person, then you purchase a stocking stuffer for everyone else. Us kids decided to change it up on my parents and instead gifted them. You can definitely tell in the photos to that there is a love for Disney in our family.
