Last week I got to go for a girls night out with a handful of other local bloggers for dinner and some pampering. It was dubbed #DinnerandaDo and by the end of the night we all felt the same… that night out was needed! We were treated to some pampering by On the Fringe Hair Design. Dinner was then enjoyed at Rocky Mountain Flatbread, we experienced their menu for Dine Out Vancouver 2017!
We all met at On the Fringe and were quickly whisked away to have our hair washed so the process could begin for a shampoo & style. The staff at On the Fringe were amazing and we all ended up in fits of laughter at different points from all the conversations going on. Apparently, I had been spotted outside the salon immediately and one stylist promptly called dibs on styling my hair. She was dreaming of long hair with loose waves. I gave her permission to just have fun styling my crazy long hair.
Some of you may not know, but I actually went to hairstyling school. I had a lot of fun talking about the latest hair styling and colouring techniques. While it has been years since I learnt the basics, I still enjoy trying new things out with my hair and learning the odd trick or two. My biggest tip I use all the time is to pin my hair after curling it and let the curls cool down and set. It makes a big difference for my hair.
The time passed so quickly in the salon that soon enough we were due to head for dinner at Rocky Mountain Flatbread just a few steps next door. Rocky Mountain Flatbread has quickly become a favourite for me and my whole family. Whenever there is an opportunity to eat there, we take it!
On this night it was all about their Dine Out Vancouver 2017 menu. You really cannot go wrong with anything you select. Which is actually something we all talked about over dinner; how several of us are actually picky eaters but that goes out the window at Rocky Mountain Flatbread. It’s just all so good!
DINE OUT VANCOUVER 2017 MENU OPTIONS
Starters: Choose from any traditional salads or feature soup.

Desserts: Choose from Warm Double Chocolate Brownies with Ice Cream. Baked Cheesecake with a Toasted Coconut Base. Home Made Seasonal Sorbet or Vanilla Ice Cream
* Available at the Vancouver Main Street & Vancouver locations for lunch and dinner *
I enjoyed the potato & leek soup to start and one of the amazing pasta dishes… it had maple bacon on top. I mean, how can you say no to bacon? To wrap it all up I enjoyed the warm double chocolate brownies with ice cream. It just might be my all time favourite dessert at any restaurant. The ice cream is made in house!
We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on this girls night out adventure. Even just thinking about it reminds me of how much I laughed that night. Boy, was that ever needed. As they say, laughter is the best medicine. If you ever had a good night out with friends and share some laughs over dinner for some reason that meal is forever engrained in your mind, and this whole night is one I will not soon forget.
