I am finally watching Bambi again. I will admit there was a period of time where I would not watch this film from Disney. Why? It made me cry! Every single time I watched it I would cry. Bambi is back and available now on DVD and Blu-ray. My whole family has been enjoying watching it.
The little prince of the forest is back, I had the Kleenex ready to go for watching it as soon as we received our copy. I was prepared, I knew what scenes were going to make me cry. It was also the first time my girls were introduced to Bambi. They had never seen it before. I own the video copy but don’t have a VCR to play it on. This is why I was excited for Bambi to be available again on DVD and Blu-ray.
My girls both really enjoyed watching Bambi for family movie night. As I predicted my oldest was a bit sensitive to the scene I knew she would be… Bambi’s Mom, need I say more? So, I skipped past that quickly. I will always remember the two girls watching this for the first time because they both loved the same scene. They were laughing in hysterics at Bambi trying to get through the snow and then him and Thumper going across the ice. I wish I had that on video to show you all.elebrates its 75
As Bambi celebrates its 75th anniversary this year the biggest change I noticed was the quality of the images while watching the movie, this release is in HD. My favourite part of this release is all of the bonus material that is included. You even get to hear from Walt Disney himself as he talks about challenges and successes during the production of Bambi. There are also deleted scenes to check out, those are always interesting to see. If you are a Disney movie collector, you will want to add this to your set of movies.
