Just in case you do not know what binge watching is, its when you watch multiple episodes of a show in rapid succession. This is something that for whatever crazy reason tends to happen if you have Netflix. Thanks to not having to deal with commercials while watching programs on Netflix, it’s easy to suddenly find yourself having watched several episodes in one sitting. Some have even said that Netflix should just change its name to Binge-Watch.
With a baby who sometimes wakes in the middle of the night, and who also refuses to nap any place but in our arms, we’ve taken to watching some shows on our tablet. Currently we are working our way through Gilmore Girls, Last Man Standing, Scrubs, and Friends.
Now, Gilmore Girls I watched all the way through when it first aired on TV. It is one of those shows that I can always watch, and once I am done the whole series I will likely go back and start it again. I love the quick whit, fast talk, and it makes me wish that I lived in a crazy small town.
Last Man Standing is about a Dad (Tim Allen) who is your typical man’s man, but he is surrounded by his three daughters and wife at home. The only other male in the house is his grandson. This show reminds me of what my Dad must have felt like with all of us girls at home, poor guy was greatly out numbered. It’s now also my husband’s reality. If you just need a laugh this is a great one.
Scrubs is a show that my husband introduced me to. The show progresses from the characters starting as medical students, to them becoming doctors. It covered the world of medicine, friendships, and life situations with a whole lot of comedy thrown in. I mean, the show even had the cast from Sesame Street on an episode!
Now would you believe me when I say before Netflix I had never seen an episodes of Friends besides a couple of the Thanksgiving episodes? Crazy I know. So many people around me make references to this show all the time that I decided it was one that I wanted to work my way through. It’s actually fun watching now because so much has changed since when this was originally filmed. Who has a land line, and answering machine anymore?
So, fess up… what shows are you binge watching right now?
